Bloombreed Schools equips Year 10 and Year 11 learners with real-world career exposure through virtual work experience and physical internship placements across various organisations.
Bloombreed Schools successfully conducted its annual Work Experience and Internship Programme for Year 10 and Year 11 learners, providing students with valuable real-world exposure aligned with their future career aspirations.
Notably, Bloombreed Schools stands as one of the pioneering schools in Port Harcourt to implement a structured combination of virtual work experience and physical internship opportunities for secondary school learners, reinforcing its commitment to innovative and future-focused education.
The two-week programme commenced on 7th April 2026 during the Term 2 break and involved learners participating in both virtual and physical workplace experiences across a range of organisations and professional sectors.
As part of the initiative, Year 10 learners engaged in a structured virtual work experience programme designed to expose them to workplace practices, professional communication, digital collaboration, and industry-based problem-solving in a modern work environment.
Simultaneously, Year 11 learners participated in physical internship placements with various organisations, where they gained firsthand experience in professional settings related to their career interests. Through these internships, students had the opportunity to observe workplace operations, interact with professionals, and apply classroom knowledge in practical and meaningful ways.
The programme was carefully designed to help learners broaden their understanding of different career pathways while developing essential employability skills such as teamwork, responsibility, communication, adaptability, and critical thinking.
By engaging directly with professionals and workplace environments, students were able to gain deeper insight into industry expectations and the realities of various professions, further strengthening their career awareness and preparation for future academic and professional pursuits.
This forward-thinking initiative reflects Bloombreed’s dedication to delivering an education that goes beyond academic excellence by intentionally preparing learners for life, leadership, and the evolving global workplace.
Bloombreed Schools remains committed to providing holistic educational experiences that extend beyond the classroom, ensuring that learners are equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with practical skills and real-world exposure necessary for future success.
The school appreciates the organisations and professionals who partnered with and supported the programme, helping to create meaningful learning experiences for our students.
